Thank you, Susan. My contacts for this article are all in large cities except for one who lives not far from a large city in Siberia. Generally speaking, the rural towns in Russia are a mixed bag — some of them have been revitalized and have been doing well in recent years and some are rather run down. I imagine the run down ones will not being doing so well right now. I plan on doing a follow-up to this article at some point in the future as the effects of some of the sanctions may be delayed.
